Merizel Kennels and Cattery was established over 50 years ago with Marianne Bolton being the current owner since 1983. We are fully licensed, this is renewed annually with full approval by Leeds City Council.
We are a small establishment with a highly trained team, with over 40 years combined experience of working with dogs and cats, this enables us to get to know our boarders personally, including all their likes and dislikes, so that your pet's individual needs are met. Our staff has completed courses on nutrition, behavior and animal welfare. Here at Merizel, we are passionate about animals and believe that your much-loved family pet deserves the best and so giving you the reassurance and peace of mind that when you are away, your pet is safe, comfortable and content.
We can accommodate multi family pets where we offer a discount. Pets are never allowed to share if they are not from the same family. All kennels and cat units are heated and individual diets are catered for. Should your pet be on medication, there is no extra cost for administration. In the unlikely event of your pet needing veterinary attention, we have an excellent practice on call, or if you wish we can use your own personal vet.
An on site professional dog grooming service is available, with bathing clipping and hand stripping by fully qualified dog groomers with a combined experience of over 30 years.
All pets MUST be fully vaccinated, including Kennel Cough. Owners are required to produce an up to date vaccination certificate on arrival.

We are conveniently situated, just one mile from the A64 and 2 miles from the A58, 7 miles from Leeds City Centre and 5 miles from Wetherby. We are in close proximity to major motorway networks (M1, A1 & M62). Our location makes us easily accessible for customers living in Leeds, Bradford, York, Wetherby, Harrogate, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
